We measure it,
we make it,
we hang it.
KD Dream Space Designs is a soft-furnishings workroom in Sakumono Estate, Accra. We make curtains, sheers and blinds, and we have been doing it for 20 years.
More than 1,000 jobs in that time, in every kind of room there is: living rooms, master bedrooms and nurseries; kitchens, studies and stairwells; offices, hotels, conference rooms and shop floors. There is not much left we have not hung something in.
Why one team does all three
The usual arrangement in this trade is that one person sells, a workroom somewhere makes, and a fitter you have never met turns up with a drill. Every seam between those three is a place a job goes wrong, and every one of them is a place to point at somebody else when it does.
We took the seams out. The person who measures your window writes the ticket the workroom cuts from, and the workroom hands it to the fitter across the same room. If a drop is wrong, it is ours, and we come back.
What we will tell you
That a heading style is a fabric quantity, and a wave heading costs you more than twice a tab top on the same window. That the lining matters more than the face fabric in a bedroom. That the wall you want a track on will not hold one, before we drill it rather than after.
And when a room does not need what you came in asking for, we will say that too - a smaller job done properly is better business than a big one you resent.
Where we work
Greater Accra as standard, with free measuring throughout. Further afield by arrangement, and we quote the travel separately rather than hiding it in the price of the cloth.
“A curtain that does not hang straight is not finished, whatever the fabric cost.”

Room by room, however much or little you know. Measuring is free within Greater Accra, and the quotation that follows is itemised - one line per window, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
